It's the 28th
Annual Lewis County Historical Ride!
Saturday, May 8, 2010
The event offers your choice of four
loop rides, all beginning and ending at Stan Headwall Park on Rice
Road, Chehalis, just
west of I-5 Exit #76
(Parkland Drive/13th Street).
Each ride offers you leisure time to view the many sites and sounds of rural roads in beautiful Lewis County. You will see herds of cows, perhaps a few llamas, and an ostrich or two. You will also have views of our three volcanos, Mount Adams, Mount Saint Helens, and, the most magestic of all, Mount Rainier. Three of the four routes take in two must-see sites: the Evaline School, a functioning two-room country school house, and the historic Claquato Church. (The 72 and 100 mile rides are good training for anyone planning to participate in the Seattle-to-Portland Bicycle Classic the weekend of July 17-18.)

Five rest stops: Water/Drink/Food
Marked courses (Dan Henry system)
Informational flyers
SAG wagons
On-site basic assistance/repairs
Lewis County Ham Radio Volunteers will be available throughout the ride.
All Lewis County Historical Ride participants are required to wear an approved helmet. Eye protection and cycling gloves are strongly recommended. Riders under 18 years of age must have the written approval of a parent or legal guardian. Riders under 16 years of age must be in the company of a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult designated by their parent or legal guardian. Washington State law requires all riders to operate their bicycles in compliance with the Rules of the Road.
